Retail Club Officers:
Our Executive Board is elected by the club members each year and includes well-qualified and experienced students from a range of majors here on campus. The board is responsible for coordinating meetings, planning new events, and connecting students with companies and company employees for new networking opportunities. Come join the club and get to experience what we are planning for next semester! Below, check out why each officer decided to get involved with the club and how it has benefited them.

Why I joined: Retail Club has been a great way to network with fellow students, knowledgable faculty, and companies from across the country. The connections and opportunities that come out of those in the club is extremely encouraging. The UW Retail club, for me, is an excellent place to apply my classroom education with real life experience.

Email: gmjensen@wisc.edu
Major: Retailing and Certificate of Business
Year: Junior
Why I joined: I have wanted to be involved with the fashion and retail industry for a long time and this club gave me the opportunity to network and meet people that will help me to do so after I graduate. It’s also really rewarding to meet other students who are interested in the same major I am and can help me to achieve my goals in my career in the future. The experiences I learn in the club every year will give me a competitive edge over others when I look for internships and jobs next year.
John Whiting-Treasurer
Phone: 920-819-8726
Email: jpwhiting@wisc.edu
Year: Senior
Major: Retail
Why I joined: Retail club for me is not only a place where i can meet cool people with similar interests, but it helps someone relatively new to retail get exposure to many influential people like CEO's and VP's which helps me better understand how things work... and also how i can get their job! I also get to see and do things, like the NRF's Big Show in New York, that students normally dont get to do. I know when i become successful in the future that retail club will have played a part in that.
