Experiential Learning in Retail
The Center for Retailing Excellence and the Internship Coordinator assist in providing students and retailers with mutually beneficial field experience and internship opportunities. We are committed to ensuring that our students have a broad range of quality opportunities available to them and that they are in turn well-prepared to secure, contribute to, and succeed at their internship and/or field experience.
Although many students seek out internship and field experience opportunities on their own, the Center for Retailing Excellence always welcomes students looking for help, resources, ideas, or connections.
Beginning with the Fall 2006 cohort of freshmen, the retailing internship and either a one-credit retailing field experience or a one-credit internship preparation course became a requirement for students in the retailing major. Click below for more information.
