Greg Duppler, Greg Duppler is the Senior Vice President General Merchandise Manager for Hardlines C. Greg earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Personnel Management from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Greg is responsible for Dry Dairy Frozen, Snacks, Beverages, Pets, Candy, Perishables, Garden Place, Home Improvement Auto, and Food Service and Food Operations.
Speaker’s Bio: Greg began his career at Target in 1982 as Assistant Buyer Distributor for Paint and Wallpaper. In 1983 he was promoted to Buyer for Automotive Accessories and in 1986 was promoted to Senior Buyer in various areas of Hardlines until 1991, when he was promoted to Director of Merchandise Presentation. In 1995 Greg was named Vice President of Merchandise Presentation. In 1998 he was promoted to VPMM for Toys, Live Plants, & Garden Place. In 1999 Greg was promoted to VPGMM for SuperTarget. In 2000 Greg was promoted to SVP SuperTarget. In 2001l Greg was given additional responsibility for Consumables at Target. In 2003 Greg was promoted to his current position.
Prior to joining Target Greg was employed by the HC Prange Department Stores in Green Bay, Wisconsin as a Senior Buyer.
Greg lives in Plymouth, Minnesota with his wife, Char, and two children Megan and Andy. He is involved in a number of church, community, and Father/Son, Father/Daughter activities, along with coaching.
Greg has been the Executive sponsor for Meals on Wheels since the program began at Target and also for Open Arms Meals on Wheels. He is the Executive Sponsor for Target Volunteers committee which oversees all Volunteer programs at Target and is a member of the Board of Trustees for the College of St. Benedict.
