- Writing Center
Since its start as the Writing Laboratory in 1969, the Writing Center at Madison has helped literally tens of thousands of University of Wisconsin students, both undergraduate and graduate, learn more about writing and has helped them successfully complete course papers, theses, dissertations, and articles for publication — in all sorts of academic disciplines. To provide this help, the Writing Center offer an extensive range of individual instruction, non-credit classes, curricular-based writing tutors (Undergraduate Writing Fellows), and instructional materials.

Here you will find checksheets for completing your degree, as well as forms related to curriculum changes and exceptions, etc.
- Letters & Sciences Career Services
Provides students and alumni from Letters and Science and the School of Human Ecology with career development services. L&S Career Services works with students to identify their strengths and passions, explore career options, make career decisions and conduct a successful job search. The office provides self-assessment tests, an extensive resource library, walk-in advising, workshops, resume/cover letter and interviewing assistance, connections with recruiters via career fairs and on-campus recruiting, and a host of other services to assist students with their career aspirations. L&S Career Services educates students about the career development process and gives them the tools to achieve their career goals.
- Educational Placement and Career Services
May be used by eligible students in the School of Human Ecology. EPCS assists students and alumni with career questions and career decisions, providing job search information about teaching; including job vacancy information, resume writing assistance, and a credential (reference) service. It is recommended that a student register with EPCS at the beginning of the school year in which they expect to enter the job market.
