Like many other members
of the home economics faculty, Agnes Leindorff received her training
here at UW--she earned a BS in Home Economics and Education in
1926, a BA in Art Education in 1932, and a MS in Related Arts
in 1939. In 1940 she was appointed instructor in the Related
Art Department, and then continued on to become a full professor
as well as Chair of the Related Art Department from 1951 almost
until her retirement in 1967. She helped initiate the National
Art in Home Economics Conference in 1961 and created a course
for young men on home planning for light building and commerce.
