Helen Louise Allen Textile Collection

Due to the dedication and foresight of Helen Louise Allen, the School of Human Ecology houses one of the foremost textile collections in the country. Its artefacts provide critical material for numerous classes on the Madison campus, attract researchers from around the country, and have been included in major national exhibitions. The Helen Louise Allen Textile Collection (HLATC) is nationally renowned for its ethnographic textiles and fiber art.
