Joy Dohr

Before retiring in 2004, Joy played a central role in introducing the foundations of design to many incoming classes of design students, and continues to be active in the graduate program.

In 1998 she was named a trustee to FIDER (Foundation for Interior Design Education Research). She was the 1997 recipient of the Leadership Award from the International Interior Design Association, for which she is also a professional member and serves as a Director for the IIDA Foundation. Dohr is past president and a Fellow of the Interior Design Educators Council, former chair of research for the Foundation for Interior Design Education Research, and the recipient of awards and grants from the design field.
