Pursuing PhD History of Textiles

Research Interests

My research interests lay at the crossroads of the sacred, secular, academic and spiritual world. For the past six years I have been a professional documentary filmmaker, ethnographic researcher, and international traveler. The subject of all of my work is to explore, examine, and document rare spiritual and religious textile traditions. I chose the UW Madison because it is one of the only institutions with a Masters and PhD in Historical Textiles.
