DS Resource Overview

Students enrolled in DS courses are fortunate to have access to a number of resources to aid them in the pursuit of their studies.
Computer and Study Labs are places for students to create designs and learn new design skills in a collaborative environment.
Information for Students is the portal to an expanding list of information, tips and tools.
Helen Louise AllenTheHelen Louise Allen Textile Collection houses more than 12,000 textiles and costumes representing a range of cutures, techniques and ages.
The Ruth Ketterer Harris Collection is a non-circulating library with more than 4,000 books devoted to the study fashion, textiles and design.

The Design Gallery holds exhibitions that relate to the processes and results of design. Exhibits focus on traditional craft and utilitarian objects as well as on contemporary design. Exhibition programming supports the Textile and Apparel and Interior Design programs of the Design Studies Department in the School of Human Ecology. Biannual exhibitions focus on the holdings of the Helen Louise Allen Textile Collection. All Design Gallery events and exhibitions are free and open to the public.
