Undergraduate Programs in Textile and Apparel Design or Interior Design

Students who receive a Bachelor of Science from the Design Studies Department are prepared for professional careers demanding knowledge of the immediate material surroundings--specifically the aesthetic and scientific aspects of textiles, apparel, and the spaces in which people live and work.

DS offers two undergraduate majors, Interior Design and Textile and Apparel Design. These interdisciplinary programs integrate the study of the immediate human environments of textiles, clothing, and interiors from aesthetic, economic, cultural, historic, scientific, and technological perspectives.

See the Majors page for more information on the programs.
