Dean's Greeting
Welcome to the Website of the School of Human Ecology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. We have newly redesigned these pages with an eye for making information as reader-friendly as possible, whether you are a prospective student, current student, faculty or staff member, public official or simply a curious citizen. Whether you are seeking information about faculty research or exhibitions, community outreach, admissions, student advising or Human Ecology news, you’ll find a link to guide your search.
Human Ecology is a small, interdisciplinary school within a great university. It is continually evolving, as we adapt to the changing needs of individuals, families and communities. (Click here to learn about our exciting plans for new and renovated facilities.) Despite demographic shifts, technological advances, economic fluctuations and cultural changes, our mission keeps us on course:
To understand the complex relationships and interdependence among individuals, groups and families and to improve the quality of life through research, creative innovation, education and outreach.
Whatever goal brings you to these pages, thank you for visiting. If you do not find the information you’re looking for, we invite you to contact us. We also welcome your ideas about our new building plans and activities at deansoffice@mail.sohe.wisc.edu.
