Academic Technology
The School of Human Ecology provides a variety of technology services and resources to the School of Human Ecology faculty, staff, and students through the Academic Technology department. We have one full time staff member and several highly skilled students that provide the services.
Computer Support Program - Academic Technology provides computer support for classroom and office technology. For non classroom computer problems, call the campus help desk at 264-HELP (264-4357) and mention that you are a School of Human Ecology Gold Member. The help desk will help you over the phone if possible, or will forward the case to the School of Human Ecology computer technitians to help you in your office. For Classroom emergencies, you can drop by my office and grab me, or call the Computer Emergency pager at, 657-2041, enter your phone or room number, and hit #.
Technology Consulting
Before making any major any technology purchase it is School policy to discuss the purchase with the Director of Academic Technology first. This is to ensure that the purchase will meet the needs of the user, to try to get the best price possible, to comply with univeristy and state purchasing requirements, and to verify that the equipment can be easily maintained by the technology support staff.
