Outreach Service
is unpaid work we contribute to the community beyond our campus and our professional organizations.
It is different from our outreach in scholarship and teaching.
It is usually leadership or consulting we provide free to organizations such as non-profits, government agencies, and private businesses.
Faculty and staff of the School of Human Ecology do a surprisingly enormous amount of Outreach Service, from local to international. This is a largely hidden contribution of the University to society.
