Incoming Students
Welcome to the School of Human Ecology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison!
We are pleased that you have chosen to become a part of our school. You have chosen a program that offers the warmth and familiarity of a small school with the vast resources of a large and great university.
We would like to invite you to attend our New Student Breakfast & Academic Orientation on Friday, August 31 at 9am. Here you will have the opportunity to meet other new students in Human Ecology, meet faculty members, and enjoy a free breakfast! Following the orientation, we will walk to the Kohl Center for the Chancellor's Convocation.
Throughout our web site, you will find a great variety of resources for all students in the School of Human Ecology. However, there are a few resources that are just for you offered through the Orientation and New Student Programs (ONSP).
Student, Orientation, Advising, & Registration (SOAR)
SOAR is the first step to becoming a UW-Madison student. During the two day summer program, students have the opportunity to take placement tests, talk with an academic advisor, enroll in first-semester classes, and meet future friends and classmates.
