Internships

Undergraduate Students in the School of Human Ecology have the opportunity to explore their chosen major in a deeper context through our internship program. Through partnerships with local businesses and agencies, students gain marketable work experience while contributing to their community and the mission of the School of Human Ecology. Internships are offered to upperclassmen in the fall, spring, and summer terms for varying amounts of university credit.

General Internship Guidelines

When can I take an internship for credit?

Internships can be taken for credit during any semester: Fall, Spring or Summer sessions. As a reminder, if you take an internship during the summer, it is just like taking a class and you will have to pay summer session tuition.

How many hours of internship work do I need?

Policies

  1. Internship class is offered ONLY to the students in SoHE in good academic standing and who have reached junior or senior level.
  2. Internship credits are not given retroactively for work that has been previously completed.
