Undergraduate Scholarships
Each year, the School of Human Ecology awards multiple merit and need based scholarships on a variety of criteria. These awards are made available to students majoring in programs in the School of Human Ecology. Scholarship recipients must be registered as full-time students for the following fall.

School of Human Ecology (SoHE) CONTINUING UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS
The School of Human Ecology uses one federated application to be considered for all eligible scholarships. The Form will be posted in December 2009.
The deadline to apply for 2009-2010 SoHE Scholarships is 4pm, Monday, February 18, 2010
Eligibility
All eligible applicants must be currently admitted to and enrolled in one of the School of Human Ecology majors / programs. Scholarship recipients must be registered as a full-time student (12+ credits) for the fall 2010 semester to be eligible to receive their award.
Selection Process
The SoHE Scholarship and Awards Committee will review applications, taking into consideration the academic achievement, qualifications, community involvement, leadership, career aspirations, and educational plans of each student.
Students will be notified of their scholarship award status by mail approximately eight weeks after the February 18 deadline. Scholarship recipients must be registered as a full-time student (12+ credits) for the fall 2010 semester to be eligible to receive their award. Scholarships are generally awarded electronically in one lump sum to students’ accounts at the beginning of the fall semester.
Application Procedure
A completed Scholarship Application will include ALL of the following materials:

- 2008 -2009 School of Human Ecology Continuing Undergraduate Student Scholarship Application Form.
To use the form you will need a new version of Adobe - Adobe Reader 9. You can download a free version from: http://get.adobe.com/reader/
The form should be emailed as an attachment to scholarships@mail.sohe.wisc.edu.
You can also submit the form by clicking on Submit Form button. In that case you will first be prompted to enter your e-mail address and your name. If you are using Microsoft Outlook, Eudora or Mail choose to submit your application form as a Desktop Application (the form will be sent automatically). If you are using Yahoo, Hotmail etc. choose to submit the form as an Internet E-mail and send the form back as an attachment.
- Unofficial Transcript.
Attach your unofficial transcript to your scholarship application email. You can request your unofficial transcript by using the student center through My UW by selecting the “Request My Student Record” option in the academic drop down menu. Once you receive your transcript to your email account please attach it with your application and send it to scholarships@mail.sohe.wisc.edu.
Note for transfer students: NO transcript from previous institutions is required.
- 2 letters of recommendation
Your letters of recommendation should come from those that can attest to your personal and academic qualifications as well as extracurricular activities, especially those relevant to your major. It is preferred that at least one letter be from a faculty member in the School of Human Ecology.The letter of recommendation must be emailed from the recommender's email account directly to recommendation@mail.sohe.wisc.edu
